A housewife becomes trapped in a series of false awakenings, realizing eventually that the looping dreams mirror the repetitive nature of her real life.
Agnes and her husband have a daily tradition: he tells her all about vivid, amazing dreams he's had, while she listens dutifully. However, when she decides to use his sleeping pills to make her own dreams more vivid, she finds herself trapped in the dream world. Driven by questions of personal agency and uncanny imagery, THE WISHING BOX explores Agnes' growing discontent with the repetitive, unchangeable nature of reality.
